About Oakland Hills Condominiums
Oakland Hills is a neighborhood of 136 attached custom condominium homes, located in a tranquil setting, yet close to everything in the heart of Portage, Michigan. Oakland Hills was founded in 2006 and developed by American Village Builders on the site of the Oakland Hills Golf Course after it closed in 2005. There are a variety of floor plans with home values in the $350,000 to $550,000 range. The Clubhouse area includes a great room, conference room, exercise room, and outdoor patio and pool for resident use.
The association is managed by a five-member Board of Directors elected by the general membership with at least two members elected each year. There are also four advisory committees, each chaired by a member of the Board: Infrastructure, Landscape, Facilities, and Website. A variety of social activities includes a monthly potluck dinner, ladies’ luncheons, men’s breakfasts and an annual golf outing.
A40-year capital plan was developed by the association to assure funds will be available for future anticipated repairs and replacements to maintain a first class community. The plan is reviewed and updated every two years.
Gardner Management Group, Kalamazoo, Michigan, oversees the day to day operations and financial obligations of the association.
